Obama For America Voters Registration Training Saturday, May 12, 2012 Because of the new voting laws, we are now required to be certified by the Florida Democratic Party
to register voters. Individuals interested in registering voters in Florida can receive this voters registration training
and certification from the Obama For America (OFA) campaign on Saturday, May 12, at 1:00 pm, at the Okaloosa Democrats Headquarters.
The class takes approximately one hour, and will allow you to participate fully in all our up-coming election endeavors.

Local Democratic Caucus May 5, 2012 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Selects
Candidates in becoming Delegates for Florida Democratic Party On Saturday, May 5, 2012, The Okaloosa County
Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) will be holding its caucus for part of the 1st and 2nd Congressional Districts.
We will be selecting 8 candidates (4 males and 4 females) from District 1 and 2 candidates (1 male and 1 female) from
District 2 to send to Tampa in June 2012 for the Florida Democratic Party Caucus where Delegates will be selected
to attend the Democratic Party National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina in August 2012. The Okaloosa
Democrats Headquarters will be the local polling location for caucus voting on May 5, 2012. Candidates for Delegates to the Democratic National Convention must submit a delegate filing form not
later than the April 27, 2012 deadline.

Voters Registration Drives May
5th and May 26th Volunteers
are needed for upcoming voters registration drives at two May Day events. The first drive will occur on May 5th at Chester Pruitt Park in Fort Walton Beach. The other voter registration drive will occur on May 26th at the Carver Hill Museum in Crestview.
Both drives will work out of our Okaloosa Democrats Booth and will offer Democratic hand-outs and "Dem Gear"
for sale. Volunteers are encouraged to participate. If you are not certified to register voters (next class -

2012 Elections in Okaloosa County Democratic Party Vote
by Mail Campaign Vote by Mail is a great opportunity to let your voice be heard and position
on the issues be counted. By participating in the Vote by Mail campaign, registered voters will never miss an election.
It is the easiet way to get out the vote, which could significantly increases the voter turnout. Vote by Mail gives
no one group an advantage because every registered voter can participate. It's a simple process...just call the
Supervisor of Elections Office and request for an absentee ballot. Don't wait--do it right now! If you or other fellow Democrats have moved or relocated, please call the Supervisor of
Elections Office at (850) 689-5600 or (850) 651-7272 to update your voter registration information and request an
Absentee Ballot for the next elections. Voting by an absentee ballot
